I managed to get it done this morning it was pouring with sleety rain so we decided it was going to be a home day and instead of doing h*******k I went into my craft room and got inky.... you should see the mess I made!!
For my background I used a brick effect mask and victorian velvet, mulled lavender and dusty concord distress inks and followed Tim's instructions. The heart is cut from the same stamped image and I used encrusted Frantage Lilac, as I don't have any distress glitter and I liked the texture the glitter gave the heart on the original tag. Frantage was the only thing I had which was chunky enough and I must say I am pleased with the result. The bottom of the tag is grungeboard cut with the ornate on the edge die which I covered with several coats of Pewter distress stain.
When I first saw February's tag my thoughts were that now I had the chance to try the blackboard technique........ I know everyone has had a go.... with fabulous results...... but this was my first attempt so please be kind to me lol. Of course I had to "improvise" as I don't have everything Tim used.
For My version of this technique I stamped with ranger embossing ink and dried it, then I rubbed chalk all over the area, the result isn't bad I was pleased with it for a first attempt.
