Sunday Stampers - Black

It's been a while since I joined in these challenges set by Hels over at Ink on my Fingers and seeing as I have made oooodles of backgrounds yesterday for another challenge click HERE if you want to peek; I thought it would be rude not to join in this week.  Here is my take on the challenge.

The background sort of lead me in the direction of Christmas for this tag.  Background was DI inks worn lipstick and forest moss
I used Tim Holtz stamp embossed in black then covered all over in distress stickles to make it sparkle  (not showing in photo but believe me it sparkles!!), black velvet ribbon was added to top and tied.
Tag cut with sizzix die.

2 posts in one day - unheard of - but to be fair I made the backgrounds yesterday and today the weather is miserable raining and dark so I  decided to play today to cheer me up, and I have had loads of fun.

off to have a peak at everyones entry

CC Challange #15

Alcohol Ink Agate on Grunge

We are just back from 10days holiday last night and just in time to join the CCC over at Studio L3 hosted by the lovely and talented Linda.  Pop over to her blog and to see what beautiful art is created by using the Tim Holtz book A Compendium of Curiosities for the challenges.   I can not believe 15 weeks have passed since I started out on this fantastic journey, some of the techniques like this weeks I have not tried before.  Now I love to get inky and this was a perfect excuse to get dirty fingers and after my hols it was just what I needed to get crafting again.

I have mentioned before that I am making a book to keep all these techniques in so this weeks challenge is all about the technique, I have used TH grungeboard shapes and the pages cut from coloured card (backgrounds) have been inked with DI to give mottled effect. The Stamps I have used are again TH Collection Shabby French stamped in Archival Black Ink. Alcohol Inks used Denim, Purple Twilight, Lettice, Black.  These did turn out darker than I had anticipated but I am pleased with the results and I can see a lot of fun could be had experimenting with different colours etc. yippee more inky playtime to come!!!!!

Other ingredients used: Stampin' Up! card and brads

Thank you to everyone who has stopped by to look and leave encouraging comments on my blog and for following me.  I'm off to have a look at everyones entries for this week.

CCC WE K #14

MASKS

Here we are again another week another page in the CCChallenge set by Linda at Studio L3.  Now as you will see from my blog I have not had any crafting time this week again - see sad face  :-( .

I am determined if at all possible to enter this challenge to the end each week; only  doubling up if I absolutely have too and end up missing a week. I am its official seriously addicted to this Challenge!
 Now I have masks neatly packaged just waiting to be opened and I am ashamed to say have been that way for just ages, so thanks Linda for making me break them out of the packaging so they could come and play.
Soooooo here is my interpretation of week #14 masks.  I have also sploshed some water onto the background inks - some a bit heavy handed it seems - still could be a moon - it could oh yes it can if you look hard enough! LOL it is true that ART is in the eye of the beholder after all :-()!!!!!
I have used Tim Holts DI faded jeans, tumbled glass and worn lipstick, masks from borderline set TH, Stamp from shabby french set TH.

I am entering this into Sunday Stampers also as Hels theme this week is blue and red - again I have missed doing these challenges as time has not been on my side of late hope things will improve soooooooon.

TATTERED FLOWERS

Wow week #13 already at the CC Challenge at Studio L3 set by Linda,  you will see from my blog that I have not been posting lately which is due to family stuff not leaving anytime to craft - see sad face :-(
 I missed out on week #12 chipped enamel so those of you crafters with eagle eyes will see that I have combined the two on the latest page of my CC challenge book.

Background was made using DI wild honey, victorian velvet, tumbled glass, bundled sage and pumice stone onto watercolour paper, then I used the negative of the small flower from TH tattered florals die to sponge in wild honey, tumbled glass and victorian velvet, then stamped swirls in pumice stone.  Flower cut from tattered florals die and technique followed. For the metal frame and brad I followed technique for week #12, hope this ok with you Linda as I didn't want to miss doing a week - I am hoplessly addicted to this challenge!! lol;

Items used Tim Holtz Stamps; Distress Inks ; Alterations Die; others Nestabilites Die; Stampin' Up! metal frame and brads; Classic Ink;
